A couple weeks ago, during fellowship after church I had the best chocolate, brownie-like bars with marshmallow on top with a layer of frosting which had Rice Krispies in it. They were so good. By accident, I found the recipe in the cookbook from the church I used to go to and where my mom and dad still belong. Go check out other recipes over the Recipe Swap
Marshmallow Chocolate Bars
Cream
3/4 c butter or margarine
3/4 c sugar
2 eggs
Add
3/4 c flour
1/4 tsp salt
2 tbsp cocoa
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 c chopped nuts (optional)
Mix all and spread in a prepared 9x13 pan. Bake at 350 degrees for about 15 minutes.
Spoon 7 oz jar marshmallow creme or enough mini marshmallows to cover. Put back in oven for about 3 minutes to melt and soften. Spread over the top and make smooth.
Melt 6 oz each of chocolate and butterscotch chips and 1 cup of peanut butter (any kind) together in the microwave. Add 2 to 2-1/2 cups Rice Krispies. Spread over marshmallow layer and refrigerate. Enjoy!

"Way back when" in '93 when my dad was in the hospital with congestive heart failure for a couple weeks, a wonderful "grandmotherly-type" neighbor lady came over and made brownies with us kids, then showed us how to top them with this. We always called it "Phyllis's Deluxe Brownies" - because her name was Phyllis :)
these sound like a delicious treat :)
Ooooh, they sound sinfully delicious. Thanks for sharing.
That sounds so super good!
